Shogali MYO contest is now ENDED

Well I finally managed to open this contest, as I found through the time that more people get interest in them it made me want to spread them more.
So the MYO contest is now open! 

How to join?

Everyone can join! Even if you already own a shogali.
To entry the contest you simply have to design a shogali, there is no need of making a background or very elaborated pieces. All it is required to do is a ref sheet.
• Sketches are fine! As long as the image is clearly understandable! Colors are required. Shading is not.
• If doing traditional, please scanner it, clean and color-pickable colors are needed.

The rules about designs

• Only ONE ENTRY per person. So put all the effort you can in it.
•No recolored bases, no linearts, and obv don't copy entirely other existing designs. (But you can take inspiration from them)
• No accessories. They are creature who live mostly in the nature so the max they can have are earrings or bead necklaces. (They cannot wear them for the myo tho, they need to have a rank to wear accessories)
• They can have all types of body build (thin, muscular, chubby, everything!) 
• NO HAIR. However you can make hyenas-like manes or lion-like that fall on the forehead if you want a kind of hair, but they still have to be natural color and shape.
• You start with 20 rarity points to use for your design, every trait between common, uncommon and rare are allowed to be used. No very rare traits or mutations. 
Each common traits is worth 5 points
Each uncommon trait is worth 10 points
Each rare trait is worth 20 points
• If you advertise the contest you get +10 rarity points to use on your design. (comment with a link to your advertising journal)
• If you tag people and make them join the contest you get +10 rarity points to use on your design. This means that the friend you tagged has to draw an entry, so you will get the points after they entered and mentioned that they were tagged by you so I can give you the permission to use +10 points
• POST THE ENTRY IN STASH AND COMMENT HERE WITH A LINK TO THE STASH FILE so I can tell you what needs to be fixed, I know these rules are tricky and not everyone can get how rarity works at first.

Here there are some (I hope) useful and boring lore informations about them.

  
• So the max amount of points you can use on your design is 40, using all the traits between common, uncommon and rare.

How to count them?

Body fins

•Each pair of simmetrical fin on the body is counted once.
So if your fishdog has a pair of common fins that start from the gills they are counted once so it is 5.
•Every singular fin on the body is counted for once.
If your fish dog has one common fin that starts from the back and one that starts from the neck they are counted separately, so it is 10.
• You are allowed to put up to 4 fins to your shogali, fin on the tail is included, at least one fin is required to show on your shogali.
• If your fins are connected they count as one (means that they have to came out from the same place but can divide in more belts)

Fishscales

There are no limits of shapes on fishscales, just remember to respect the areas of appereance.
Shogalis can be scale-less too!

Ears

Ears are required, whatever you choose do put on your design!

Whiskers

Whiskers can have all the shapes and direction you desire, just don't make them too wide or they will be misunderstood for fins.
Whiskers are always in pair and pairs are counted separatedly, so if you put two pairs of common whiskers they will be counted for two (10)
Shogali can be whiskers-less too!
Tail Lenght
As the ref sheet shows, short tails are common, medium lenght are uncommon, long tails are rare. For tail is meant the flesh part where the fin is attached.
They can be tailless, means that there is no fin after the flesh part, but the flesh part is still counted in rarity.
So, pay attention on these traits and what rarity you want to make them while designing! Remember that at least one fin, ears and tail are always counted in rarity and are mantadory to be shown on the design.
After designing, submit it to deviantart and submit it to the group in the myo contest folder!

Deadline, Judging and Prizes

Deadline : 30th July 2017 
The designs will be judged by me, I will consider:
•The color choice and placement. The most eyecatching patterns and markings.
•The design theme if it has one, and the originality of the design itself.
•If you give them a nice personality and put effort on making them unique by adding personal feature (as scars, particular fur length or shape, a story and such)
• I won't judge the style or the skills, all I want to see is nice colors schemes and ideas. 

Winners and prizes

The number of winners will depend on the number of participants! 
The more join, the more will be the winners!
The winners can keep their MYO.

The other designs that won't win can be bought to be official, the price depends on the rarity.
The rate is 0,50€ = 1 rarity point
